My story began 12 years ago, when I first fell ill. I was told that I had an incurable and rare liver disease. Four years later, I was faced with the inevitable fact that I needed a liver transplant, as my own organ was failing fast. I was just a few months short of my 50th birthday. I received my new liver a few months later. What an amazing gift it has been. I wish I could tell the donor's family how I live my new life to the full, thankful each day for having a wonderful life and still living to love my family. All I can say is THANK YOU from the depths of my heart.
