Privacy Impact Assessment register
The agency is required to manage personal information in accordance with the privacy principles contained in the Privacy Act 1988. This protects such information from misuse, interference, and loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.
A Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) is a systematic assessment of a project that identifies the impacts that the project might have on the privacy of individuals, and sets out recommendations for managing, minimising, or eliminating that impact. From 1 July 2018 the OTA is required to make available PIA's for all high privacy risk projects or initiatives that involve new or changed ways of handling personal information.
A register of PIAs is listed below. This register will be updated as soon as practical after a PIA has been completed, but at the latest, twice a year by 30 June and 31 December. If you would like further information relating to PIAs and the registration process, please contact foi@donatelife.gov.au.
