Polycystic kidney disease has burdened our family for 3 generations now. My mother who was admitted into hospital 4 years with her kidneys functioning at just 7%, is lucky to be alive. Thanks to an angel, mum recently received a kidney and is starting to lead a normal life again! My brother and I have tested positive for the disease and will one day need the support of a donor. I have attached a photo of mum just before her transplant!
