I suddenly lost my 33 year old wife who was on life support when I was approached by the medical team asking to consider organ donation. I was in turmoil as I had to make a decision but felt that her parents should be involved so there would be not repercussions from them later on. As her parents were in New Zealand we had to wait till they were present to give the OK. Sadly because of the delay most of her organs were damaged due to medical problems but what were good did help some donor persons. So early intervention is important.
