Kelcey - tissue donor, QLD

Kelcey was a beautiful, cheeky little soul who still has her eyes on the world.

Kelcey had just turned 5 when her family were told the words no family ever wants to hear, "she has an inoperable brain tumour and she is going to die".

Four months later Kelcey passed away but in that time her family said she taught them a lot.

They said the courage, determination and strength she showed was both a privilege and a gift to be a part of.  With her ultimate gift coming just after her family lost her, the donation of her corneas.

Kelcey’s family said words cannot describe the incredible pain that her passing bought, but they were truly comforted by the fact that something so amazing was able to come from something so devastating.

“Kelcey was a beautiful, cheeky little soul who still has her eyes on the world,” they said.
