I was sick for a year before eventually being diagnosed with chronic renal failure.

My first thoughts were, No way, I'm only 25 and stay fit by playing sports, they must have it wrong – but they were right.

We went through all the tests and I spent almost a year getting healthy enough to receive a kidney transplant from my mother, God bless her.

It has now been over 15 years, and I am lucky enough to have a beautiful family of my own and I live life to the fullest. The gift you give WILL change or save a life, and in turn can fulfil other people's lives also.
