Gifting Robert’s organs gave two recipients a second chance at a healthy life.

Robert was tragically killed in a one-punch attack in North Queensland, but the shock of such a tragedy didn’t stop his family from losing sight of helping others.

Robert’s sister Barb is a registered nurse and a registered organ donor. She said she immediately saw the potential to turn something very sad into something wonderful.

“We lost Robert unexpectedly in 2017 so my family knows all too well the heart-wrenching pain of losing a loved one,” she said.

“But it gave us great pride to incorporate the DonateLife donor family pin into Robert’s wreath at his funeral.
