Event details

The Great Registration Race SA is the first annual walk for DonateLife SA, it will take place on Sunday, 24 July 2022 in the picturesque surrounds of Adelaide’s Elder Park (Tarntanya Wama). The walk will officially kick off DonateLife Week 2022 in South Australia, which aims to raise organ and tissue donation awareness and increase registrations on the national organ donor register.

The race will not be competitive, participants can take part in a 0.5 km, 2.5 km or 3 km loop distance. Feel free to walk or run with your family, friends or even your dog (on leash).

There will be a face painter for the kids and mobile food vendors Boost Mobeel, Deja Brew speciality coffee and Lukomades will be available for attendees to purchase refreshments on the day.

For those of you who have a loved one who gave the gift of life and would like to dedicate your walk to them we encourage you to bring along a photo or memento of that person on your walk/run.

During July, we will be asking Australians to take a selfie for their social media with their index finger up, signalling it only takes 1 minute to register as an organ and tissue donor. Please also consider sharing your selfie across your own social media in July, ask your friends to take 1 minute to register at donatelife.gov.au Please tag us and use hashtags #donatelifeweek #greatregistrationrace

Note: This is an environmentally aware event. Printed tickets are not required.
