The 'Step up to save lives' walk officially kicks off DonateLife Week 2024 in South Australia. DonateLife Week plays a vital role in encouraging more Australians to register to be and organ and tissue donor, and to discuss the topic with their families. The event will start with a Welcome to Country, an official opening, followed by guest speakers (donor family and organ recipient), and then everyone will be invited to go for a short walk along the River Torrens. For entertainment, we will have the presence of some soccer players from Adelaide United Football Club, soccer clinics for children led by midfielder Marcelo Carrusca, and the presence of Mix 102.3 FM with their breakfast radio host Ali Clarke + street crew. There will be free coffees, and free face painting & caricaturist.

We want all Australians to talk about organ and tissue donation. If you want to be a donor, make sure you tell your family and friends.

Registering is easy and only takes one minute. All you need is your phone, Medicare card and one minute to register.

It doesn’t matter how old you are, your medical history, your lifestyle, what country you’re from or how healthy you are — you can still register as an organ and tissue donor.
