Step 1: Create your event or activity
Once you have your event idea locked in, you can register it on our website so people in your area know about it.
Step 2: Find a guest speaker
Does one of your colleagues or club members have a personal donation story they’d be willing to share? If not, contact us for potential guest speakers.
Contact your local DonateLife agency
Step 3: Promote your event
Display our posters around your office and promote your event via your eNewsletter, intranet or social media pages. Don’t forget to remind your colleagues to bring their Medicare cards on the event day or they can register through their Express Plus Medicare app.
Step 4: Set up for your event
Make sure you have the right materials for your event. You could show a video about organ and tissue donation, print out the facts, stats and mythbusting flyer, or decorate the space in DonateLife posters to get conversations started.
Step 5: Share your event on social media
Come along to our online information sessions
Attend one of our DonateLife Week supporter information sessions and learn how you can help us encourage more Australians to register and support organ and tissue donation.
Our information sessions are now completed. Please reach out at communications@donatelife.gov.au if you'd like any further information on getting involved in DonateLife Week 2024.
