The Janette Hall Professional Training and Development Fund (previously Scholarship Program) provides the opportunity for health professionals working in the organ and tissue donation sector to attend professional training and education activities, both in Australia and overseas. The Janette Hall Fund is provided in memory of Janette Hall, a DonateLife donation specialist nurse who became an organ and tissue donor after she died in December 2010.
The Janette Hall Fund was originally offered by the Organ and Tissue Authority as an individual-based scholarship program that began in 2011. The Scholarship Program has since evolved to become the Janette Hall Fund. The fund is now managed by each DonateLife Agency and gives DonateLife staff the opportunity to participate in professional education and development activities.
